You all know how much I love a good repurposing project right? Â Well making a cabinet door serving tray ranks up there with one of my favorites.

Cabinet Door Serving Tray Supplies:
- Old Cabinet door (you can usually pick these up at a thrift store for a couple of dollars)
- Sanding Block
- Latex paint in color of choice
- Cabinet hardware
- Cabinet hardware template
- Drill
- Drill bit large enough for the hardware screw
- Putty knife
- Bondo
- Krud Kutter
Cabinet Door Serving Tray Instructions:
Step 1)   Fill original cabinet knob holes with Bondo and let dry.  This stuff is amazing.  I use it on almost every project I paint.
Step 2) Sand entire cabinet door using sanding block
Step 3) Clean your cabinet door well with Krud Kutter or dishwashing soap & water
Step 4) Â Using the cabinet hardware template, drill new holes on top of cabinet door for the cabinet pulls. Â This template takes all of the guess work out of drilling new holes.
Step 5) Â Apply 2 coats of Latex Paint in color of choice and allow to fully dry in between coats
Step 6) Attach the cabinet pulls
Now that you know how to create a cabinet door serving tray, head to your local Habitat for Humanity store and grab the supplies to make this for your next project. Â As a matter of fact…grab supplies for two…one for you and one for a gift.
