With this way of eating, you get a lot of veggies in your diet. I like to change them up as much as possible so I don’t get bored. However, this easy green bean recipe is my absolute favorite and one I go to a lot. Requiring only 4 ingredients, this recipe is quick, delicious and keto-approved.

This particular recipe makes quite a bit of food, so you can split it up into portions to eat throughout the week or simply share it with your family. It’s a tasty way to make sure the kids get their veggies in too.
Easy Green Bean Recipe ingredients:
- 4 cans green beans, (do not drain) check carbs
- 1/4 pound raw thick-cut bacon, cut in 1″ pieces
- Minced onion to taste, I use one Tablespoon
- Salt and pepper to taste
Step 1) Place all ingredients in a large stock pot with lid.
Step 2) Bring beans to a boil on high heat.
Step 3) Reduce to medium-low and simmer until the liquid has been cooked out.
This easy green bean recipe works as both a side dish and a meal. I have done both, depending on my mood. The bacon adds a little saltiness and makes them more filling. You can also vary the recipe a bit and add some mushrooms or cheese at the end. They’re perfect with a nice steak, too!
