Did she not do an amazing job on this Pallet Wine Rack?!?

Here’s what Susie P. has to say:

“I saw a picture of a similar project on Pinterest and thought I can do that. But they used a regular size pallet that was just to big for my wall and it didn’t have a place for the glasses under it. I found this pallet leaning against a dumpster and was so excited and it was a half pallet size, put it car and was so excited. Really easy to make, I just winged it really on where to cut. You can only cut one place under next board up, under second board. Then I pulled out nails on another board and screwed into bottom to make the shelf the bottles sit on, mine fit right up in the space, used pretty wood screws. That sounds silly, pretty wood screws. Then I sanded to get most of roughness off and stained it. The glass holder part was more involved. My dad has a big wood working shop with all the saws, sanders and a beautiful place, I asked his advice and he showed me what I needed in a catalog, it was expensive and not much of it, less than 2 feet for $22.OO, then you had to wait for it. I don’t wait well especially when I’m working on a project. So I figured my own out. I cut pieces of wood to fit width and then another piece on top of that so the base of glass would slid into it. Hard to explain, I’ll add pictures and show y’ala. I already had the tiles left over from a planter project and thought they would dress it up some so I glued them on. I just love it, my girls make so much fun of me for picking up stuff off the road, out of dumpsters, trash, where ever it is. But when they are what I’ve made they want it. Anyway, make you one, if I can so can you. Good luck. I think you could cut a regular pallet to this size, that’s my next figure it out, to make one for the girls… I used something like a thin baseboard trim for the glad holders, I live in a very small town, we got a Ace hardware store last year, my new favorite place, that’s where I found the wood, very reasonable, probably 12 feet long for around $6.00. Will hold lots of glasses.”
