Our favorite Diva of DIY,  Leanne Lee is at it again. Get ready for the holidays with DIY Photo Blocks and Holders.


Photo Blocks
Supplies you will need:
Scrap 2 x 4″ boards in different lengths ranging from 3-6″
Scrap 2 x 6″ boards in different lengths ranging from 4-6″
Scrap 2 x 6″ boards cut 18″ long
Canvas, burlap or other material
Photos
Upholstery Tacks
Hammer
Stamps or stencil
Sanding Block
Paint in color of choice
1) Once blocks have been cut, sand egdes slightly to soften the corners.
2) Paint, Stain, or paint and distress blocks to achieve desired look of each block.
3) After painting the blocks, cut a piece of your cloth to fit your 2 x 6 x 18″ block.
4) Attach cloth to block using upholstery tacks and a hammer
5) Stamp or stencil cloth with “Family” or other words
6) Now on the smaller blocks, cut photos to fit.
7) Tack photos down with tacks
Photo Holder
Supplies you will need:
2 x 6 x 8′
Hand saw or have store cut them in 12″ sections
Paint or stain in color of choice
Ornament Hooks
Hot glue or E6000
Pliers
Drill and small drill bit
Card Stock or burlap
Printer or stamps
1) Once block has been cut, sand egdes slightly to soften the corners.
2) Paint, Stain, or paint and distress block to achieve desired look
3) After painting the block, cut a piece of your cloth, burlap or card stock to fit your 2 x 6 x 12″ block.
4) Attach cloth to block using upholstery tacks and a hammer
5) Stamp or stencil cloth with “Family” or other words
6) Using drill and drill bit, drill some small holes in the top of the block to hold ornament hangers
7) Using pliers, stretch out ornament hanger to desired length and design
8) Spread hot glue or E6000 on end of ornament hanger and place in hole. Let dry
