Guess what day it is?

Fan Friday!

Happy4thofJulyBanner

I love it when kids get creative with their parents. If you’ve always wanted to know how to create a banner on your own my friend Marci and her daughter “Beanies” made this banner together to celebrate 4th of July.

Beanies LOVES to celebrate 4th of July. Aside from Halloween and every kids favorite, Christmas, 4th of July is her holiday. For the past three years (she’s 7 now) she’s hosted a 4th of July party for our friends and family. It starts out with a parade in the morning up the road from our house. Then we head home to decorate for the party!

Once the guests begin to arrive it’s all fun for the kids! That typically involves running through the sprinkler, throwing Pop It’s, having a water or squirt gun fight. All the while the adults are battling it out in a cornhole tournament!

It gets pretty crazy ya’ll!

We then typically munch on Steak & Chicken Kabobs and whatever side dish our guests bring to share. I love chowing down on food that other families bring. It gives me additional recipes to add to my recipe box. We then end the night with a ice cream bar and small fireworks!

Now two years ago Beanies and I were doing crafts. We actually made this Popsicle Stick American Flag to use as decorations in our flowers. We had a TON of felt in our drawer and really wanted to try and use some. We decided to make a banner for the party using this wire garland that she had bought the night before.

I think it turned out so cute. It was SUPER simple to create and we actually just pulled it out yesterday. You can create this banner for 4th of July, make one to celebrate a birthday or to just cuten up a play or bedroom. The best part is – there’s no sewing involved!

You can see Marci’s step by step tutorial over on her site, MyHeavenlyRecipes.com. I hope you visit her site and check it out. She’s got some AMAZING recipes!

Each and everyone of you inspire me and I LOVE to see the work that you’ve created. Feel free to share with me on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook.
