Leanne Lee, aka “The Diva of DIY” is a junk-lovin’, dumpster-diving, curb-shopping wife and mother of 3 boys. She owns a successful contracting business in Kansas City Missouri. Lee is anything but your typical blogger. She is a public-speaker, philanthropist, and a broadcast/media personality who’s passion for transforming the world’s discarded items into cherished possessions is contagious. Her ability to open the eyes of an audience to the creative possibilities before them is inspiring. Add to that the fact that Leanne is generous in sharing not only her ideas, but the steps and tools needed to create them, well…that is what makes her unique!
Long before she was creating online buzz with her spunky style and passion for Upcycling, Leanne was turning homes into masterpieces. As one of the leading contractor’s in Kansas City, Leanne has built a reputation for “rekindling” spaces so her clients can “fall in love with their homes all over again“.
With the increased media exposure through TV and personal appearances, the appetite for Leanne’s creative designs has increased. The online world has provided the perfect vehicle for her to reach an audience beyond the confines of her hometown of Kansas City, and teach the skills that solidify her brand, the “Diva of DIY.”
Leanne is currently on the design team for the hit show, “Restaurant: Impossible” on Food Network, she co-hosts a weekly DIY segment on KSHB-41 and hosts her own nationally syndicated DIY segment for Scripps Media.
Leanne was named the 2015 Home and Garden’s Trendsetter of the year and is currently a finalist for Hallmark Channel’s Home and Family DIY Star.
